Print photo tiles using sublimation
"Turn point-of-sale displays into high-margin profit drivers with our sublimation photo tiles - fast to prepare, durable and fully customisable, these POS essentials elevate your retail offer in just minutes."
Enhance your product assortment with Technotape International’s sublimation photo tiles. Designed for B2B partners, these premium ceramic blanks deliver vivid, permanent images, driving impulse purchases at the POS while streamlining back-of-house operations.
What Are Sublimation Photo Tiles?
Our tiles are high-quality ceramic blanks with a crisp white surface and a proprietary polymer coating. Under precise heat and pressure, the coating absorbs sublimation ink then “locks” the image inside, resulting in scratch-resistant prints with bright colours, sharp detail and seamless gradients.
POS & Operational Benefits
- Premium Upsell: Custom photo tiles command higher margins and increase average transaction value.
- Impulse Purchase Driver: Compact formats and magnet-back options boost add-on sales at checkout.
- Cross-Sell Kits: Bundle tiles with printers, inks and presses to create turnkey sublimation solutions.
- Repeat Business: Seasonal designs and fresh templates encourage customers to return.
- Staff Efficiency: Simple six-step process minimises training time and reduces misprints.
Essential Equipment Checklist
- Blank sublimation tiles – see our photo tile range
- Sublimation printer & transfer paper – browse our printers and media
- Flat heat press – choose from manual to pneumatic models in our heat press collection
Six-Step Sublimation Workflow
- Print your design onto sublimation transfer paper using the recommended ink settings.
- Preheat the press to the specified temperature and pressure (see each product page).
- Protect the platen with a folded heat-resistant towel and optional PTFE sheet for even heat distribution.
- Position the transfer paper print-side up, then place the tile face-down on top; no tape needed.
- Activate the press cycle to embed the image into the polymer coating.
- Allow the tile to cool so the coating “locks” the image permanently inside the surface.
Optimize Quality with Recommended Settings
For consistent results, always follow the exact temperature, pressure and dwell-time guidelines listed on each tile’s product page, ensuring uniform colour saturation and edge-to-edge clarity that keeps your retail partners coming back.
